Can I make an appointment to come see you?
Yes. Call or email us.
Call us at 305-933-5777 to make an appointment to sell your jewelry or you can email us at info@doverjewelry.com You might be surprised to find that we do not have a store front nor are we located in a jewelry exchange. We solely have a buying office. Because that what we do. WE BUY.

Can I sell my ring for it's appraised value?
Not Likely
You will find that most appraisals are performed to provide a "Retail Replacement Value for Insurance Purposes" The keywords are: "Retail" - This is a pricing tier for the end-consumer -and- "Insurance Purposes" - This means it's intended for you to submit to your insurance company and not to take it as cerification of your items true retail market value This is usually an inflated figure which does two things 1. It is sure to protect you against loss of your valuables. If you purchased a ring for $5,000 and they gave you an appraisal for $8,000 when you bought it, you can be sure that if you were to lose your ring you could replace it with any jeweler no matter what they charge. Likely scenario: Your insurance company will end up paying you $5,000 to replace your ring. 2. It leads you to believe that you are getting an amazing deal for an item you are considering buying when in reality you are likely paying a fair retail price for it.

Can you come to my house, bank, or attorney's office?
Yes.
We can usually accomodate these requests if you have many items or even one important item. Most of the time, we will first send an appraiser to meet with you to evaluate your item(s). For very large estates, we are willing to fly out to meet with you.

Do you pay more than pawn shops?
Much more.
We buy from the pawn shops and local jewelers. You can cut them out and sell directly to us.

How do you determine the value of my jewelry?
Many factors determine the market value of your jewelry.
There are many factors involved in presenting you with the correct offer for your jewelry. Some things to consider: - The Items Age. Generaly speaking, older items are usually more rare, which in turn provides greater demand. - The items maker or designer. Signed pieces, as they are reffered to, can command much higher prices than unsigned items. This is especially true for such jewelry houses like Tiffany & Co., Cartier, David Webb and Van Cleef & Arpels. - The weight and quality of your items. Gold and diamond prices have soared recently. In today's market, you might be able to sell an item you had purchased ten years ago for more than you bought it for. The carat weight, cut, and clarity of your diamonds play a significant role in their value. - Market conditions A designer that might have been in great demand in the 70's could be completely out of fashion today. Simply put, if it can be sold for more, we'll buy it for more.

How much will it cost to ship my items to you?
Nothing!
We will email or fax you with a pre-paid, insured UPS overnight shipping label. Just pack your items snuggly in a box and either call UPS to schedule a pick up (1-800-pick-ups) or drop it off at your nearest UPS Store.

How will I get paid?

Once you have accepted our offer, we will provide you with immediate payment via check or bank trasfer. Bank Transfers less than $10,000 are subject to a fee of $35. We do not pay in cash. We are proud to be P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act compliant and have every transaction be thourougly documented.

Where are you located?
Miami, FL
We are located in the jewelry district of Miami, FL. Our offices are located in the historic Alfred I. du Pont building in front of the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts. 169 E. Flagler St # 722 Miami, FL 33137

Why should I sell to you instead of the guy that will send me a box to ship my gold?
Thanks for asking!
Most websites that you see today are trying to buy "scrap gold". Scrap gold is intended to be melted down and cashed in. Although we will buy your gold, we are much more interested in the true market value of your item(s). Basically, we put your jewelry in the hands of collectors, not metal refiners.
