This estate ring of stylized ‘buckle’ design is manufactured by the Philadelphia based Lagos jewelers, renowned for their technique of textured ‘caviar-like’ beading on precious metals. The buckle design was initiated by the company as part of their ‘Derby’ collection, mostly using sterling silver. This yellow gold and diamond ring incorporates two openwork scrolls of distinct sizes, adjoined by means of a diamond-studded buckle on the top. The latter is adorned with 5 round-faceted diamonds cumulatively weighing 0.50 cts, graded H-I color and VS clarity. The asymmetric openwork shoulders merge into a ridged and sizable shank, embellished with with two straps. This designer Lagos ring bears the numbers ‘916’ and ‘41855’ inside the shank as well as the goldsmith’s signature ‘LAGOS’ and remains in excellent condition.
